Indications

Dermirit is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of itching, eczema, insect bites, erythema and localized burns.

Composition

Active ingredients

100 g of cream contain: Hydrocortisone acetate 500 mg

Excipients

100 g of cream contain: ethylene glycol and polyethylene glycol palmitostearate 20 g; glycosylated polyoxyethylene glycol glycerides 3 g; vaseline oil 3 g; butylhydroxyanisole 0.008 g; benzoic acid 0.200 g, purified water to taste. to 100 g.

Directions for use and Dosage

Spread a small amount of cream on the affected area and rub lightly, twice a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose. If you intend to use an occlusive dressing, thoroughly cleanse the area to be treated before each application to avoid the onset of infection.

Warnings

For external use only. Do not apply to large surfaces.

In infants and children, diapers can act as an occlusive dressing, increasing the absorption of the product.

The cream is not for ophthalmological use, nor should it be applied to the periocular areas.

Do not use for prolonged treatments. After a short period of treatment without appreciable results or if the conditions worsen, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

The use, especially prolonged, of topical products may give rise to irritation or sensitization phenomena. In this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy.

Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the product components and to other corticosteroids. The use of hydrocortisone is contraindicated in the case of viral, bacterial, and fungal infections. Do not use for vulvar itching if associated with vaginal discharge. Do not use in children under two years of age or during pregnancy, except on prescription and under medical supervision.

Undesirable effects

If the product, contrary to what is prescribed, is used on large surfaces and for long periods of time and at high doses, more serious signs of local intolerance or signs and symptoms of systemic absorption may occur. Sometimes the following may occur locally: burning sensation, irritation, dryness of the skin, folliculitis, acne eruptions, hypertrichosis, hypopigmentation, skin atrophy.

Overdose

If large areas of skin are treated, especially with occlusive dressings, the possibility of systemic effects from corticosteroid reabsorption should be taken into account.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In pregnant and breastfeeding women, the product should be administered only in case of real need and under the direct supervision of a doctor.
