Composition:

One 100 mg ovule contains: ciclopiroxolamine 0.100 g. 100 g of vaginal cream contains: ciclopiroxolamine 1 g.

Excipients

One 100 mg ovule contains: benzoic acid, glyceryl monoricinoleate, semisynthetic glycerides. 100 g of cream contains: 2-octyldodecanol, liquid paraffin, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, myristyl alcohol, coconut fatty acid diethanolamide, polysorbate 60, sorbitan monostearate, benzyl alcohol, lactic acid, deionized water.

Therapeutic indications

Vaginal ovules for conditions caused by Candida. Vaginal cream: vulvovaginal and perianal conditions caused by Candida.

Contraindications

Known individual hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosage

Vaginal suppositories: 1 100 mg suppository for 3-6 days depending on the severity of the infection and at the doctor's discretion. Vaginal cream: Screw the applicator onto the tube of cream and fill it by applying light pressure on the tube. Insert the applicator deep into the vagina and apply the contents (5 g) daily before bedtime for 6 consecutive days or, at the doctor's discretion, up to a maximum of 14 days. For application, a position on the back with the legs slightly bent is recommended. To prevent reinfection, it is advisable to also treat the peri-vaginal and perianal skin with a little vaginal cream.

Warnings and precautions

Mutual infection is possible; to prevent reinfection, simultaneous therapy of the partner is recommended. With topical or intravaginal applications, there is practically no systemic absorption of the preparation. The use, especially if prolonged, of topical drugs may give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case, treatment must be suspended and appropriate therapeutic measures must be adopted.

Side effects

Rarely, itching, burning, or local irritation. Dafnegin vaginal cream contains cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol as basic components among the excipients. Of this It should be taken into account in case of known hypersensitivity to these substances.
