Composition

1 gram of gel contains: Active ingredient: carbomer 3 mg Excipients: Tube: sorbitol, benzalkonium chloride, sodium hydroxide q.s. at pH 7.5, purified water q.s. b.

Therapeutic indications

Treatment of all conditions characterized by insufficient or defective hydration of the ocular surface, from red eye to dry eye.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components.

Dosage

Instill one drop into the conjunctival sac up to 4 times a day. The product can also be instilled several times a day, according to the doctor's judgment. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Warnings and precautions

The product is for external use only. Prolonged use of topical products may cause sensitization; in this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy. In pediatric age, use with a medical prescription. Do not use for prolonged treatments: after a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor. Keep the medicine out of reach of children. Tube: do not use while wearing contact lenses. For contact lens wearers, it is recommended to insert the lenses 15 minutes after instilling the product.

Interactions

Avoid the simultaneous use of antiseptics.

Side effects

Sometimes vision may be slightly blurred for a short time. Complete and uniform distribution of the gel on the ocular surface resolves any inconvenience. In some cases, intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur, but this is inconsequential and does not require modification of the treatment.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Single-dose vial: there are no contraindications or special warnings for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
