Therapeutic indications
Clevian Gel is used for painful and inflammatory conditions of a rheumatic or traumatic nature of the joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

Dosage and method of administration Directions for use
Spread an appropriate amount of Clevian gel on the painful area, massaging slowly until completely absorbed, repeating the application two to three times a day.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient (piroxicam) or to any of the excipients.
• As a precaution, unless the doctor deems it absolutely necessary, the use of Clevian gel is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Special warnings
Serious skin reactions, some of them fatal, including exfoliative dermatitis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and toxic epidermal necrolysis, have been reported very rarely in association with the use of NSAIDs (see 4.8). In the early stages of therapy, patients appear to be more at risk of developing allergic reactions. High risk: The onset of the reaction occurs in most cases within the first month of treatment.

Clevian gel should be discontinued at the first appearance of skin rash, mucosal lesions, or any other sign of hypersensitivity. The amount of active ingredient absorbed through the skin does not normally reach concentrations in the circulation that would expose the patient to the risk of adverse effects such as those resulting from systemic use of the drug.

The application of topical products, especially if prolonged, may give rise to sensitization phenomena. In the event of hypersensitivity reactions, the patient should immediately seek medical advice. Treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy initiated.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
As a precaution, unless your doctor deems it absolutely necessary, the use of Clevian gel during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Expiry and storage
Check the expiry date indicated on the package. The expiry date indicated on the package refers to the product in its intact packaging, stored correctly.

Warning: Do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the package.

Clevian Gel contains:
Active ingredient: Piroxicam 1 g
Excipients: Methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, Propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, Polyethylene glycol, Ethyl alcohol, Silverpin essence, Carboxypolymethylene, Ethanolamine, Water.
