Indications
Ceroxteril 0.1% + 0.1% is indicated for the disinfection and cleaning of non-seriously damaged skin (for example in case of wounds, sores and superficial burns).
It is indicated for the preparation of the surgical field.
Composition
Active ingredients
100 g of product contain: Chlorhexidine digluconate 0.10 g; Benzalkonium chloride 0.10 g.
Excipients
Ethyl alcohol, Aromatic essences (Bergamot-Lemon 1/1), Purified water.
How to use and Dosage
Apply using a cotton swab or sterile gauze soaked in antiseptic.
Benzalkonium chloride is incompatible with hydrogen peroxide and, together with Chlorhexidine digluconate, with soaps, iodides and other anionic materials.
Rub the affected area, repeating the operation 2-3 times a day.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.
Warnings
The product is for external use only; the use, especially prolonged, of products for skin use may give rise to sensitization phenomena; in this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy.
Do not use for prolonged treatments; after a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor.
Accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants may cause allergic reactions. may have serious, sometimes fatal consequences.
Avoid contact with the eyes, brain, meninges, and middle ear.
Avoid exposure to ultraviolet rays (sun or artificial sources) after applying the product.

Based on available reports and published literature, this risk appears to be more serious. high in preterm infants, particularly those born before 32 weeks of gestation and in the first 2 weeks of life.
Remove all impregnated materials, including surgical drapes or gowns, before proceeding with the procedure.
Do not use excessive quantities of the product and do not allow the solution to accumulate in skin folds or under the patient's body or to drip onto bed linens or other materials in direct contact with the patient.
Where it is necessary to apply occlusive dressings to areas previously exposed to Ceroxteril, care must be taken to ensure that no excess product is present before applying the dressing.

Undesirable effects
