Indications
Bronchenolo Pediatrico by Perrigo is a syrup with honey and dry extract of marshmallow root, which acts as a balm by coating the inflamed pharyngeal mucosa and calming chesty and dry coughs. The marshmallow extract forms a protective film that repels external agents, thus alleviating coughs and allowing the mucosa to heal. The honey, thanks to its viscosity, soothes irritating coughs and, with its sweetness, reduces sensitivity to coughing and increases respiratory tract secretions, which hydrate the mucosa. Bronchenolo Pediatrico is not only suitable for daytime coughs, but is also recommended for nighttime coughs; in fact, thanks to its calming effect, it facilitates rest during the night.
Composition
15 ml contain: 143 mg of dry extract of Marshmallow root, 750 mg of Honey. Also contains: Xylitol, Xanthan, Glycerol, Anhydrous, Citric Acid, Strawberry Flavoring, Methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate, Propyl-4-hydroxybenzoate, Purified Water. Without artificial colorings, alcohol-free, lactose-free, gluten-free and genetically modified organisms.
Directions for use and Dosage
Using the special measuring cap, follow the instructions below.
- Children from 6 to 11 years: 15 ml up to 4 times a day;
- Children aged 4 to 5 years: 7.5 ml up to 4 times a day;
- Children aged 2 to 3 years: 5 ml up to 4 times a day;
- Children aged 1 to 2 years: 5 ml up to 3 times a day.
Can be taken both day and night.
Warnings
Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the label and carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month. Do not store above 25°C. Close the bottle tightly after use. Consume the contents within 4 weeks of opening. Store the bottle in its original packaging to protect from light. Keep this medical device out of the sight and reach of children. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medical devices you no longer use. This will help protect the environment. Do not take if you are allergic to marshmallow root or honey or any of the other ingredients of this medical device. If you experience an allergic reaction, stop using the product and consult your doctor. 15 ml of Bronchenolo contains 2.76 g of xylitol; the caloric intake of xylitol is 2.4 kcal/g. Xylitol may have a laxative effect.
- Use in patients with sugar intolerance: Patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this product as it may cause allergic reactions. Contains honey.
- Use in diabetic patients: 15 ml Bronchenolo Pediatrico contains 0.3 CU (carbohydrate units).
- Use in children: For children under 3 years of age, it is advisable to consult a doctor to exclude the presence of more serious problems. Use in children under 1 year of age is not recommended.
Interactions with other medicinal products
If you are taking other medicines, it is recommended to take them half an hour to one hour after taking Bronchenolo Pediatrico. Contact your doctor if: symptoms persist or worsen after 5 days; dyspnea, fever or purulent sputum occur during the use of Bronchenolo Pediatrico. Contains
methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate and propyl-4-hydroxybenzoate as preservatives. This may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Use is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
