Benzac pimple cream, formulated with benzoyl peroxide, is useful for treating acne-like skin conditions.

Indications

Benzac 5% gel for pimples is a gel used to disinfect the skin as a treatment for acne-like conditions. Reduces pimples and blackheads and is ideal for the face.

Ingredients and Composition

Active ingredient: Benzoyl Peroxide 5 g.

Excipients: Carbomer 940, Methacrylic Copolymer, Glycerin, Disodium Edetate, Sodium Dioctyl Sulfosuccinate, Colloidal Silica, Propylene Glycol, Poloxamer 182, Demineralized Water.

Directions for Use and Dosage

Cleanse the affected area, such as the face, with a specific cleanser. Apply a small amount of Benzac Acne Cream locally and massage with your fingers until completely absorbed. Apply once or twice daily, as needed.

Warnings

Benzac gel for acne is for external use only. Use of products for skin use, especially if prolonged, may cause sensitization; in this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy. Avoid contact with eyes and other mucous membranes. The oxidizing action of the gel may discolor dyed hair and colored clothing. No efficacy and safety data are available in children under 12 years of age. Do not apply to abraded or irritated skin. Avoid exposure to the sun and ultraviolet rays while applying benzoyl peroxide.

Contraindications and side effects

Hypersensitivity to benzoyl peroxide or to any of the excipients.

Interactions

Avoid the simultaneous use of strong detergents, alcoholic products, anti-acne skin preparations and medicines used in the treatment of acne containing substances that can increase the peeling effect, irritants or cause dryness of the skin, such as those based on tretinoin, resorcinol, salicylic acid and sulfides, medicated cosmetics.
