Needle Features

Triple Bevelled
The triple bevelled needle is designed to reduce the force required to penetrate the skin to deliver the injection. This detail, obtained by a particular cutting of the corners, has been developed to offer great comfort during the injection.

Needle lubrication

Each BD Micro-Fine™+ needle is individually lubricated, to offer comfort during the injection.

Sharpening treatment

BD Micro-Fine™+ needles are treated with another finish which consists of a surface blunting process capable of reducing the force required to penetrate the skin.

Electro-polishing

The needles are treated with a final smoothing on the surface, so that the sharp needle can easily penetrate the skin.

Thin Wall Technology

BD Micro-Fine™+ pen needles feature "Thin Wall Technology" which means they have thin inner walls. The needles retain their thin outer dimensions but have a larger inner diameter. The result is that a large insulin flow can flow through the needle, thus reducing the force required to push the pen's injection button; thus, the injection becomes simple and fast.
