Features
B-SMART ophthalmic wipes are designed for the topical treatment of the eyelids and eyelashes in both adults and children, even in the presence of secretions due to allergies, inflammation, or infections such as blepharitis and blepharoconjunctivitis. They are particularly useful in the pre- and post-operative period of ophthalmic surgery and for the daily care of the eye area in subjects predisposed to these conditions. Thanks to their composition, they are also suitable for contact lens wearers. The wipes effectively remove secretions, foreign bodies, and dust, respecting the delicate physiology of the eye area.
Components
Soft gauze soaked in the following solution: aqua, polyorbate 20, sodium hyaluronate, disodium EDTA, trisodium citrate dihydrate, Aloe vera gel powder, glycerol, chlorhexidine digluconate, citric acid monohydrate, allantoin, sodium hydroxymethylglycinate.
Directions for use
After thoroughly cleaning your hands, open the sachet and remove the gauze. Apply the gauze to the eyelid area, gently rubbing it to allow adequate treatment for the removal of ocular secretions and any other deposits (smog, dust, etc.). In the event of particularly persistent secretions or blocked tear ducts, it is advisable to warm the closed sachet for a few minutes in warm water (about 40°C) and then use the gauze as a warm compress, gently massaging the area. In the event of inflammation, however, it is advisable to cool the closed sachet in the refrigerator for a few hours and then apply the open gauze to the eye, keeping it there for a few minutes as a cold compress.
Warnings
The sterility of the product is guaranteed only if the sachet is intact. The gauze is for single use; reuse could carry infections. Keep out of reach of children. External use only. Discontinue treatment if irritation or hypersensitivity to the product occurs. In case of infectious conditions, do not use the same gauze for both eyes.
Any serious incident involving the medical device must be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the Member State in which it is based.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place.
Shelf life with intact packaging: 36 months.
