Composition:

Silver proteinate Marco Viti Children 0.5% nasal and ear drops, solution. 100 g of solution contain: Active ingredient: silver proteinate 0.5 g. Silver proteinate Marco Viti Adults 1% nasal and ear drops, solution. 100 g of solution contain: Active ingredient: silver proteinate 1 g. Silver proteinate Marco Viti Adults 2% nasal and ear drops, solution. 100 g of solution contain: Active ingredient: silver proteinate 2 g. For the full list of excipients, see section 6.1.

Excipients

Purified water, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, potassium monobasic phosphate, bronopol.

Therapeutic indications

Decongestant and antiseptic of the nasal mucosa and antiseptic of the ear canal.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Dosage

Adults and children: Administer 1–2 drops in each nostril or in the ear canal 2–3 times a day.

Warnings and precautions

Avoid concomitant use with papain-based products (see section 4.5). Adhere to the recommended doses and instructions for use. If accidentally ingested or if used for a long time at excessive doses, silver proteinate can cause toxic phenomena (see section 4.9).

Interactions

The silver proteinate solution can cause serious eye damage. interact with papain-based products. Papain is a proteolytic enzyme, belonging to the hydrolase class, which is extracted from the immature fruit of the papaya (Carica papaya). Concomitant use of silver proteinate and papain may inhibit the enzymatic action of papain.

Undesirable effects

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy There are no adequate data from the use of silver proteinate in pregnant women. Silver proteinate should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly necessary. Breastfeeding: There are no adequate data regarding the use of silver proteinate during breastfeeding. Silver proteinate should not be used during breastfeeding unless clearly necessary.
