Nasal and Ear Drops

Composition:

Silver proteinate Marco Viti Children 0.5% nasal and ear drops, solution 100 g of solution contain: Active ingredient: silver proteinate 0.5 g Silver proteinate Marco Viti Adults 1% nasal and ear drops, solution 100 g of solution contain: Active ingredient: silver proteinate 1 g Silver proteinate Marco Viti Adults 2% nasal and ear drops, solution 100 g of solution contain: Active ingredient: silver proteinate 2 g For the full list of excipients, see section 6.1.

Excipients

Purified water, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, potassium monobasic phosphate, bronopol.

Indications therapeutic properties

Decongestant and antiseptic of the nasal mucosa and antiseptic of the ear canal.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Dosage

Adults and children Administer 1–2 drops in each nostril or in the ear canal 2–3 times a day.

Warnings and precautions

Avoid concomitant use with papain-based products (see section 4.5). Adhere to the recommended doses and instructions for use. Silver proteinate, if accidentally ingested or if used for a long time at excessive doses, can cause serious side effects. cause toxic phenomena (see section 4.9).

Interactions

Silver proteinate solution may interact with papain-based products. Papain is a proteolytic enzyme, belonging to the hydrolase class, which is extracted from the immature papaya fruit (Carica papaya). Concomitant use of silver proteinate and papain may inhibit the enzymatic action of papain.

Undesirable effects

The following are the undesirable effects of silver proteinate, organized according to the MedDRA system organ classification. There are insufficient data to determine the frequency of the individual effects listed. Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Dermatitis, Rash, Burning, Skin irritation, Skin discoloration, Hypersensitivity reactions, Argyria (see section 4.9).

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy: There are no adequate data from the use of silver proteinate in pregnant women. Silver proteinate should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly necessary. Breastfeeding: There are no adequate data from the use of silver proteinate during breastfeeding. Silver proteinate should not be used during breastfeeding unless clearly necessary.
