Indications

Aquacel Extra Hydrofiber is the sterile dressing in Hydrofiber® Technology composed of pure sodium carboxymethylcellulose (NaCMC) in gelling fibers enriched with medical-grade Lyocell reinforcing fibers. Thanks to Hydrofiber® technology, this highly absorbent and conformable dressing vertically absorbs wound exudate, instantly forming a soft gel that retains the absorbed fluids, maintains an optimal moist environment, conforms perfectly to the wound bed and makes dressing removal atraumatic.

Thanks to the medical-grade Lyocell fibers and the addition of two external layers that make it 9 times more resistant and 39% more flexible, it is ideal for wound dressing removal. More absorbent than the traditional Aquacel dressing, Aquacel Extra allows for optimal management of any level of exudate in flat and cavity wounds, reducing the risk of maceration of the periwound skin and ensuring greater resistance, greater absorption and fewer dressing changes.
