Indications

Aquacel Ag Foam is a foam dressing with ionic silver that offers:

• An impermeable top layer that allows moisture to evaporate, provides a barrier against viruses and bacteria, protecting the wound and allowing the patient to shower or bathe.
• A soft foam layer that improves patient comfort and absorbs excess fluids.
• A Hydrofiber layer with silver ions that gels on contact with exudate and promotes an optimal wound healing environment.
• A soft silicone border that ensures a secure and gentle adhesion to the skin, facilitates removal of the dressing and is proven not to damage the delicate granulating tissue of the wound.
• The addition of ionic silver allows to kill a broad spectrum of wound microbes present in the dressing, including antibiotic-resistant bacteria, through: rapid and effective antimicrobial action; controlled release of ionic silver as the exudate is absorbed by the dressing; prolonged antimicrobial activity for up to seven days.
