Indications

The medical device Apolact Nasal Spray is a solution containing a mixture of apolactoferrin and lactoferrin in liposomes with sorbitol specifically designed for the hygiene, hydration and protection of the nasal cavity.
Liposomes are lipid spheres that allow the protection and subsequent release of apo-lactoferrin, protecting it from denaturation and making it more bioavailable.
Lactoferrin is an iron-chelating glycoprotein, naturally present in respiratory secretions and is an important component of the innate immune system.
It also offers the human body the first defense against a wide range of pathogens such as viruses and bacteria.
The antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties of lactoferrin are largely due to its ability to bind free iron (Fe3+), an essential cofactor for microbial growth and the production of free radicals that trigger inflammatory processes.
The antiviral effect of lactoferrin is related to its ability to bind to the glycosaminoglycans of the plasma membrane, preventing the entry of the virus and nipping the infection in the bud.
Apolactoferrin (an iron-free form of lactoferrin) is more active than lactoferrin itself (5 times) because the binding with iron occurs in the open form of the apoprotein, allowing for a greater absorption of iron. easy access to Fe³+ ions.

Composition

Mixture of apolactoferrin and lactoferrin in liposomes, sorbitol, sodium chloride, EDTA, monobasic sodium phosphate, dibasic sodium phosphate, purified water.

Directions for use and Dosage

Shake well before use.
We recommend 2 sprays per nostril 2-3 times a day.
Tilt your head slightly forward and apply the product to the affected nostril, inhale while holding the nostril that will not receive the application closed with a finger.
Each spray is equivalent to approximately 0.1 ml of solution.
After each use, rinse the spray nozzle thoroughly with running water and replace the protective cap.

Warnings

Women, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and children are advised to consult their doctor before use.
Concurrent use of similar products may compromise the effectiveness and safety of the device.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged.
Do not use the product after the expiry date.
The expiry date refers to the intact and correctly stored product.

Lactoferrin is a protein extracted from cow's milk and therefore its use is not recommended in case of milk protein allergy.
