Indications

The AliveCor KardiaMobile 1L from Omron is a single-lead electrocardiogram that allows you to perform an unlimited number of ECG (EKG) tests, anywhere, anytime and without the use of wires, cables or gel. After just a 30-second ECG test, you'll know if your heart rhythm is normal or if atrial fibrillation is detected.

How to Use

Using KardiaMobile

1. Connect the KardiaMobile device to your phone (optional)
2. Download the Kardia app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
3. Follow the on-screen steps to complete account setup.
4. Open the app and tap "Record your first ECG"
5. Select KardiaMobile
6. You may be asked to allow the Kardia app to access your microphone; select "Allow Access."
7. Record while sitting. Place the device on a flat surface near your smartphone.
8. When you are ready, place two fingers of each hand on the two electrodes. Do not squeeze or press hard.
9. Your recording begins. Maintain the resting position for 30 seconds (the timer counts down) until the ECG recording is complete.

General precautions

Do not store in extreme heat, cold, humidity, wetness, or brightness. Do not expose to strong electromagnetic fields. Do not take measurements near other equipment that emits ultrasonic sound. Keep the components out of the reach of children. Use the device only for recording heart rate and heart rhythm. Do not use the electrode on excessively oily body parts, hair, or very dry skin, as the measurement will not be possible. Do not use in conjunction with a cardiac pacemaker, ICD, or other implanted electronic device. If skin irritation or inflammation occurs in the area of ​​use, discontinue use until further medical advice. Do not set or lift with excessive force. Do not use for the diagnosis of heart disease. Do not wear during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cauterization, or external defibrillation procedures.
