Product Description

Dermatological Cream

Composition:

100 g of cream contain: Active ingredient Aceclofenac 1.5 g Excipients propyl parahydroxybenzoate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate For the full list of excipients, see section 6.1.

Excipients

Emulsifying wax, liquid paraffin, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.

Therapeutic indications

Local treatment of painful and inflammatory conditions of a rheumatic or traumatic nature of the joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments such as tendinitis, tenosynovitis, sprains, contusions, periarthritis, dislocations, lumbago, stiff neck, bursitis, strains and sequelae of trauma.

Contraindications

The product is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient (aceclofenac) or to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, including acetylsalicylic acid, as well as in case of hypersensitivity to any of the excipients. The product is also contraindicated in pediatric age (see "Special warnings and precautions for use"), during pregnancy and during breastfeeding (see "Pregnancy and breastfeeding").

Dosage

Apply 1.5 g - 2 g of AIRTAL 1.5 g/100 g cream equal to 4-5 cm three times a day on the affected area or as prescribed by your doctor.

Warnings and precautions

For external use only. AIRTAL 1.5 g/100 g cream should not be applied to open sores or wounds. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. Since cases of photoallergy have been highlighted in experimental studies, avoid exposure to sunlight after applying the product. Prolonged use of dermatological products may give rise to sensitization phenomena. The use of Airtal, as with any drug that inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins and cyclooxygenase, is not recommended in women intending to become pregnant. Administration of Airtal should be suspended in women who have fertility problems or who are undergoing fertility investigations.

Interactions

There are currently no known cases of interactions.

Side effects

Occasionally and mostly: After prolonged administration, mild or moderate itching, redness, and local irritation may occur, which disappear when treatment is stopped.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The use of the product during pregnancy is not recommended, even though experimental studies have shown it to be neither teratogenic nor embryotoxic. It is currently unknown whether Airtal is excreted in breast milk, therefore, use of the product during breastfeeding is not recommended.
