ACTISORB® Silver 220 is a dressing made of activated charcoal with silver, enclosed between two non-adherent nylon layers.

• Indicated for managing bacterial contamination, infection and bad odors of different types of wounds such as: pressure ulcers, leg ulcers of various kinds, diabetic ulcers, fungal carcinomas, traumatic or surgical wounds characterized by bacterial contamination, infection or bad odor;
• Activated charcoal absorbs bad odors and binds bacteria and endotoxins that hinder the tissue repair process;
• Helps maintain an optimal moist environment on the wound;
• Silver eliminates bacteria inside the dressing;
• It is active on 150 different bacterial strains, does not damage cells and does not hinder the proliferation of fibroblasts,
• It can Actisorb can be used under a compression bandage.

Directions for use

1. Choose a size that is slightly larger than the size of the wound;
2. Gently remove the dressing from the packaging and avoid cutting it;
3. Apply Actisorb directly to the wound. Both sides of the dressing can be placed on the wound;
4. Apply a secondary dressing over Actisorb depending on the level of exudate.

Once applied, the dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days depending on the level of exudate. The secondary dressing can be changed if necessary.
