Symptomatic treatment of cough and congestive conditions of the upper respiratory tract, particularly those caused by allergies.

Active ingredients: 100 ml of syrup contain: Active ingredients: Triprolidine hydrochloride 0.025 g; pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 0.600 g; dextromethorphan hydrobromide 0.200 g.

Excipients: Non-crystallizing sorbitol (70%); sucrose; sodium benzoate; methyl parahydroxybenzoate; ponceau 4r (e124); ethanol; blackberry flavouring; menthol; vanillin; Purified water.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients, to other antihistamines, or to any of the excipients. The drug is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age, during pregnancy, breastfeeding, in patients being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within two weeks of such treatment, and in the treatment of lower respiratory tract diseases, including bronchial asthma. Due to its anticholinergic effects, do not use in cases of glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, bladder neck obstruction, pyloric and duodenal stenosis, or stenosis of other parts of the gastrointestinal and urogenital tract. It is also contraindicated in cardiovascular diseases, arterial hypertension, hyperthyroidism, as well as epilepsy and diabetes. Dextromethorphan, like other central cough suppressants, is contraindicated in patients who have or may develop respiratory failure.

Dosage: The package includes a double-spoon measuring cup with a capacity of 2.5 and 5 ml. Adults and children over 12 years: one 10 ml dose of syrup 2 or 3 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Warnings and precautions: If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if high fever or other side effects occur, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor. Side effects: Actifed Compound can cause mainly drowsiness, then asthenia, dizziness, allergic skin rashes, photosensitivity, dry mouth, urinary retention, thickening of bronchial secretions, gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, possibly reducible by administering the product after meals, CNS excitation, accompanied by insomnia, euphoria and tremors; very rarely blood changes and, especially in the elderly, headache, extrasystoles, tachycardia and hypotension.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Actifed Compound is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
