Features

Maskottina masks were created to offer optimal protection to little ones. Each mask is equipped with a double layer of stretch blend fabric, designed to be bacteriostatic, water-repellent, and antimicrobial, thus ensuring an effective barrier against contamination.

Compliant with the Uni En 14683:2019 standard and classified as a Class I Medical Device, Maskotte is made from a blend of polyester and polypropylene. Its special antimicrobial treatment based on Zinc Pyrithione, tested ISO 22196, and the waterproofing treatment prevent the passage of droplets, offering superior safety.

The bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) of 98.5% ensures a high barrier effect and considerable resistance to bacterial penetration. Furthermore, the fiber is gentle on the skin and certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100, attesting to its harmlessness to human health.

These masks are reusable up to 10 times and washable at 60°C, combining practicality and sustainability. Each mask measures 130 x 100 mm, weighs only 9 g, and features a cheerful pattern.

To ensure maximum effectiveness and safety of Maskottina masks, it is essential to carefully follow the instructions for use and maintenance.

How to use Instructions for Use

• Before wearing the mask, be sure to practice scrupulous hand hygiene by washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
• Remove the mask from the packaging and identify the inside, indicated by the colored threads.
• Put the mask on by placing the elastic bands behind your ears, one at a time.
• Pull the lower part of the mask down to completely cover your nose, mouth, and chin.

Removal and Maintenance

• To remove the mask, hold it by the elastic bands, avoiding touching the inside.
• After removal, wash your hands thoroughly.
• Daily use and subsequent washing of the mask is recommended.

Cleaning and Disinfection

The water-repellent and antibacterial treatments of the fabric maintain their effectiveness for 10 washing.

• Hand wash at 60°C, immersing the mask in water and neutral soap, rubbing gently and squeezing. Avoid using fabric softeners.
• To dry, hang out to air dry, away from direct sunlight.

Important Warnings

The use of these masks in contexts that require specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as FFP2 or FFP3 masks is prohibited. Always read the manual carefully before use.

• Do not use in case of known allergies to the components or on broken/wounded skin.
• Do not apply the device to parts of the body other than the face.
• The masks have no healing properties.
• It is absolutely forbidden to alter the medical device.
• In case of irritation, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

Storage

After each use and washing, store the completely dry mask in a clean container. Store the device in a cool, indoor environment, protected from atmospheric agents, humidity, steam, dust, and liquids. Keep away from heat sources, open flames, and direct sunlight for proper storage.
