Product Description

The Sofararmapiu Self-Diagnostic Blood Pregnancy Test is a capillary blood pregnancy self-test device capable of detecting hCG as early as 10 days after fertilization with greater accuracy than urine tests.

Indications

Finger-prick blood pregnancy self-test device. A qualitative, manual immunochromatographic screening test for the detection of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in capillary blood collected by fingerprick. It can be used at home by non-professionals to detect pregnancy. While pregnancy can be detected in urine approximately 1 week after a missed menstrual period, the blood test can detect it as early as 10 days after fertilization. Blood pregnancy tests are known to be more accurate than urine tests. For this reason, blood/serum pregnancy tests are widely used in laboratories and hospitals. Furthermore, the volume of fluids ingested, which can affect the results of urine tests (dilution of hcg), does not affect blood tests. The accuracy of the test is very important, as pregnancy necessarily requires precautions and lifestyle changes, such as quitting smoking or drinking alcohol, reducing or eliminating medications and certain foods. In just 5 minutes, it is possible to detect a hcg blood concentration equal to or greater than 25 Iu/L.

How to use

Performing the test always begins with good preparation. Place the contents of the package on a clean, dry, and flat surface (such as a table).

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Dry your hands with a clean towel.
  • Prepare the test device and pipette. Remove them from the protective pouch (tear along the notch) and keep them handy. Discard the desiccant sachet.
  • Prepare the lancet. Hold it without touching the activation button. Unlock the cap by rotating it 1/4 turn until you feel it separate from the lancet, then continue rotating (2–3 turns). Do not pull, just twist. Discard the cap.
  • Clean the tip of your middle or ring finger with an alcohol swab. Massage the chosen finger toward the tip for 10–15 seconds to promote blood flow.
  • Press the lancet firmly against the side of the freshly cleaned finger and then press the activation button. The tip of the lancet will automatically retract into the device.
  • Massage the tip of the finger to obtain a sufficient amount of blood.
  • Without squeezing the pipette cup, touch the plastic pipette to the drop of blood. The blood will rise up the pipette by capillary action to the indicated line. If necessary, massage the finger again. Avoid as much as possible. Air bubbles may form.
  • Drop the collected blood with the pipette into the sample collection area of the test device, pressing the pipette bulb.
  • Wait 30–40 seconds for the blood to be completely absorbed. Unscrew the blue cap of the diluent bottle (leaving the white cap tightly screwed on) and add the diluent as follows:
    • Hold the bottle upright and add exactly 4 drops to the sample well, waiting 2–3 seconds between each drop.
    • Read the result 5 minutes after adding the diluent.
  • Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes. The color and intensity of the diluent will vary. The lines have no impact on the interpretation of the result.

1. Positive Result
Two colored lines appear in the window under the T (Test) and C (Control) labels. The T line may be lighter in intensity than the C line. The test is positive, indicating that the hcg level in the blood is equal to or greater than 25 Iu/L.

2. Negative Result
Only one colored line appears under the C (Control) label. The test is negative, indicating that the hcg level is less than 25 Iu/L.

3. Invalid Result
If no line appears in the control region C, the test is invalid. In this case, the result cannot be interpreted and it is recommended to repeat the test with a new Sofarmapi Blood Pregnancy Test.

Warnings

Test intended for in vitro diagnostics only. For external use only. Do not ingest.
