Product Description

Nizoblue 10mg/g  Treatment of scalp conditions such as dandruff, oiliness, and itching.

Dosage

Distribute a small amount of NIZOBLUE to wet hair and massage gently. Leave the product to act for 3-5 minutes, then rinse. It is recommended to perform the treatment 2-3 times a week. Symptoms generally disappear within the fourth week. Do not exceed the recommended doses.

Active ingredients

One gram of shampoo contains: active ingredient: ketoconazole 10 mg. Excipients with known effects: butylated hydroxytoluene (E321) 1.0 mg; benzyl alcohol 12.5 mg; methylparaben (E218) 0.01 mg; propylparaben (E216) 0.002 mg; perfumed oil 5 mg.

Excipients

Sodium lauryl ether sulfate, citric acid, sodium cocoyl sarcosinate, cocoyl monoethanolamide, ethylene glycol distearate, polyquaternium-7 (contains methylparaben (E218) and propylparaben (E216)), hypromellose, tetrasodium edetate, perfumed oil, sodium chloride (to adjust viscosity), sodium hydroxide (to adjust pH), butylated hydroxytoluene (E321), benzyl alcohol, hydrochloric acid (to adjust pH), brilliant blue (E133), purified water.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed
Nizoblue Shampoo 10 mg/g is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Nizoblue is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.

Storage

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees C.
Caution: do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the package.

Warnings

After prolonged treatment with corticosteroids on the scalp, it is advisable to wait 15 days before applying NIZOBLUE shampoo on the same skin area, or to immediately start treatment with Nizoblue, continuing to apply the corticosteroid in decreasing doses until the steroid therapy is eliminated within 2 weeks.
Given the poor percutaneous absorption of ketoconazole. No systemic side effects are to be expected following use of the product. However, elderly patients, those with a history of liver disease, and those previously treated with griseofulvin should be treated with great caution. Treatment should be discontinued if signs indicative of a hepatic reaction develop. Use of the product, especially if prolonged, may give rise to sensitization phenomena; in this case it is necessary to interrupt the treatment.
As with other shampoos, avoid contact with eyes.
If this occurs, rinse thoroughly with running water.

Interactions

Cross-hypersensitivity or cross-sensitization reactions may occur following the simultaneous use of preparations based on antifungals of the same class (miconazole, econazole, isoconazole).
