Castor oil F.U. (Official Pharmacopoeia), obtained by cold pressing the seeds of Ricinus communis, can be used internally as a laxative, and externally as an emollient and strengthener for hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes.

Indications

Castor oil F.U. is a very dense vegetable oil, with known soothing, emollient, and softening properties. Ideal for invigorating and adding shine to very dry and damaged hair, it is also useful as a laxative.

It can be used:

for internal use as a laxative and purgative.
For external use, also mixed with other vegetable oils to:

• restructure very dry, damaged hair with split ends;
• strengthen eyelashes and eyebrows.

Dosage

For internal use, as a laxative, castor oil should be taken according to the following dosage:

Adults: 15-60 ml per day
Children: 5-15 ml per day
