The EDP Al Oudh is a fragrance dedicated to the oriental world and the slightly smoky balsamic aroma of oud wood.
Anyone who is passionate about Duchaufour's olfactory narrative knows very well how one of his perfumes is born. A traveling nose and refined illustrator, Bertrand Duchaufour loves traveling to distant lands and collecting scents, visions, and experiences that he captures in the moment with watercolor sketches and then, once back home, dissolves into a perfumed juice. This happened with Timbuktu, Dzongkha, Fleur de Liane, and the recent Havana Vanille.
To create Al Oudh, Bertrand Duchaufour explored the world of oud wood. pushed deep into the desert of the Arabian Peninsula, following the ancient caravan routes that transported myrrh, gold, and incense, in search of sumptuous scents capable of sublimating the essence of oud, the quintessential oriental wood. From this latest exploration, his A travelogue scented with oriental arabesques and desert, penetrating and sumptuous with spicy, woody, leathery, and animalic accords, was born.
