Characteristics

The protein-free wafers of the APROTEN product line are characterized by:

• Low protein, sodium, phosphorus and potassium content: Ideal for the dietary management of renal failure (nephropathy);
• Low tyrosine and phenylalanine content: Suitable for the dietary management of metabolic aminoacidopathies such as phenylketonuria and tyrosinemia;
• Low protein content: Indicated for the dietary management of Parkinson's disease (in therapy with Levodopa). For patients undergoing levodopa therapy, the degree of any dysphagia and malnutrition problems that may arise under protein restriction must be assessed.

Ingredients

Potato starch, sugar, palm oil, dextrose, corn flour, emulsifier (soy lecithin), natural vanilla flavor (0.1%), thickener (guar gum), raising agent (sodium hydrogen carbonate). The product may contain traces of milk and hazelnuts.
