Nutricia Monogen is a nutritionally complete powdered food, low in LCT fat and rich in MCT, ideal for the dietary management of infants and children with conditions that require a specific fat intake.
Characteristics
Nutritionally complete powdered food, low in fat, low in LCT and rich in MCT, with whole cow's milk whey protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. Product indicated for the dietary management of infants and children affected by pathologies that require a low intake of LCTs and a high intake of MCTs, such as lymphatic system disorders such as: type 1 hyperlipoproteinemia, fatty acid oxidation defect, intestinal lymphangectasia, chylothorax. Also suitable for post-surgical nutrition for short bowel syndrome. The osmolarity of the product at the recommended dilution is 235 mOsmol/kg. Useful for growth and gastrointestinal disorders.

Preparation
The diet should be supplemented with natural proteins and other nutrients in the amounts prescribed by the physician to meet the required requirements. The recommended dilution is 16.8% of live weight (for example, a 5.6 g measuring spoon of product must be dissolved in 30 ml of water).
Warnings
Do not exceed the expressly recommended daily dose. The powdered formula is not sterile, so it is recommended, where possible, to prepare it immediately before administration and consume it within 1 hour. Shake well before use. Discard any reconstituted, unused product.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light. Reseal the jar after use. Once opened, use the product within 1 month. Please refer to the packaging for further instructions if necessary.
