Protein-free food for special medical purposes
Indications
The protein-free drink, from the APROTEN product line, is characterised by: low protein, sodium, phosphorus and potassium content which make it suitable for the dietary management of renal failure (nephropathies); low tyrosine and phenylalanine content which make it suitable for the dietary management of metabolic aminoacidopathies (phenylketonuria, tyrosinemia); low protein content which makes it suitable for the dietary management of Parkinson's disease (in therapy with Levodopa). For patients undergoing Levodopa therapy, the degree of any dysphagia and any malnutrition problems due to deficiency that may arise in conditions of protein restriction must be evaluated.
Ingredients
Water, cream (milk) (7.3%), maltodextrins, lactose from milk (3.4%), demineralized milk whey powder (1.4%); emulsifiers: citric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, soy lecithin; Natural flavors, vitamins (vitamin C, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, riboflavin, thiamin, folic acid, vitamin B12), mineral salts (sodium citrate, calcium phosphates, potassium chloride, calcium citrates).
