Indications

Mastocol is a food intended for special medical purposes, containing the patented combination of two active ingredients present in foods: Palmitoylethanolamide, in micronized form (PEA-m), and Polydatin. PEA-m has been shown to promote the maintenance of proper intestinal mucosal function and to help restore proper visceral sensitivity, counteracting abdominal pain.
The combination of PEA-m with Polydatin promotes the physiological control of mucosal homeostasis. In subjects suffering from IBS and under medical supervision, dietary supplementation with Mastocol has been shown to be effective in controlling intestinal pain, constipation, and diarrhea. Mastocol is to be used under medical supervision for the dietary management of subjects suffering from irritable bowel syndrome with constipation or diarrhea, and in the presence of abdominal pain.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a functional disorder of the gastrointestinal tract, caused by neuroinflammation of the intestinal mucosa. IBS frequently originates and amplifies over time due to multiple nociceptive triggers—post-infectious, stressful, hormonal, nutritional—which alter the intestinal mucosa's ability to properly metabolize a particular class of endogenous lipid mediators, physiologically responsible for controlling intestinal motility and visceral sensitivity. Characterized by the infiltration of the intestinal mucosa by inflammatory cells such as mast cells and T lymphocytes, IBS is frequently accompanied by alterations in the intestinal tract in the form of constipation or diarrhea, and the presence of abdominal pain.

Directions for use and Dosage

On medical advice, 2-3 tablets per day.

Warnings
