Low glycemic pasta for diabetics.
FiberPasta is a type of pasta that contains 15% fiber with a mix of insoluble and soluble fiber, and has a low glycemic index (GI) of 23. The high fiber content increases satiety without causing bloating, slows the absorption of carbohydrates, offers benefits for intestinal health (aiding intestinal transit) and contributes to lower calorie absorption and a reduction in glycemic peaks. The pasta has a low nickel content (0.071 mg/kg) as it does not contain bran (the component of whole-wheat pasta where nickel is concentrated). Furthermore, the absence of lignin in the bran facilitates the absorption of important minerals such as iron and calcium.
