Indications
Afenil 2 is useful for the dietary treatment of children from the first year of life and in adults with confirmed hyperphenylalaninemia including phenylketonuria, and in maternal phenylketonuria.
Ingredients
L-lysine-L-aspartate, L-arginine-L-aspartate, L-leucine, L-tyrosine, glycine, L-valine, L-glutamine, L-proline, L-threonine, L-isoleucine, L-serine, L-histidine, L-alanine, L-cystine, L-tryptophan, L-methionine, taurine, L-carnitine; emulsifier: sucrose esters of fatty acids.
Directions for use and Dosage
Take the prescribed amount of Afenil 2 divided into 3-4 doses daily, in addition to other foods permitted by the diet. Afenil® 2 can also be taken as a cold drink, initially dispersing the required powder in a small amount of water (20 ml), then diluting further until the desired consistency and volume is obtained (80 ml). Water or other permitted drinks, even flavored ones, can be used for dilution. Once prepared, it is recommended to consume the drink within 1 hour, otherwise store in the refrigerator (2-4°C) and consume within 24 hours.
Warnings
Afenil® 2 must be used under medical supervision by subjects with confirmed hyperphenylalaninemia, including phenylketonuria. Afenil® 2 cannot be used as a sole source of nutrition. The product may pose health risks if consumed by individuals who do not have the specific disorder for which it is indicated. Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
After use, close the jar tightly and store in a cool, dry place, away from light and direct heat sources. The expiry date refers to the product when stored correctly in its intact packaging.
