Characteristics
The impact of environmental and climatic factors, the frequent use of excessively tight clothing by women, especially at a young age, combined with the pace of life and work that does not always allow for regular and methodical local hygiene, and finally the concomitant use of contraceptives that may damage the vaginal mucosa (IUDs), can give rise to a frequent problem affecting the external female genitalia. This is a subinflammatory condition of the vaginal mucosa, which refers to a set of disorders such as redness of the areas, itching, burning, which are independent of the usual symptomatic pictures derived from bacterial or fungal infections, but which can also evolve in this direction in the long run.
The frequent use of appropriately formulated vaginal irrigations can represent the solution to the problem and prevent, together with the removal of the original causal factors, the disorders mentioned above from becoming disease-like or tending to become chronic. In any case, the external female genitals require careful daily hygiene practices in order to keep the mucous membranes in optimal condition, all without incurring the risk of altering the vulvo-vaginal biological ecosystem.
Salso Gyne is an intimate vaginal wash that meets these requirements and comes in ready-to-use single-dose bottles, based on salso-bromo-iodic thermal water and carefully selected plant extracts.
Indications
Protective and soothing adjuvant in irritated states of the vaginal mucosa; adjuvant in a decongestant, antiseptic and antimicrobial sense in the treatment of gynecological infections (vaginitis of various etiologies) affecting the external female genitals. It can also be used for intimate hygiene at the end of the menstrual period, for deep hygiene in cases of intense leucorrhoea, to cleanse and remove residues of medications used vaginally and after the use of local contraceptives.
The gynecological solution is specifically designed and created by the Terme di Salsomaggiore in all its components:
- The salt-bromine-iodine thermal water, successfully tested for decades and traditionally used for its healing properties in the gynecological field, thanks to its high and balanced mineral concentration, exerts an effective tonic, eutrophic, astringent and naturally antiseptic action.
- The natural active ingredients, such as tea tree essential oil and grapefruit glycerol, locally provide the conditions for maintaining the optimal state of the vaginal ecosystem, preventing any contamination.
- The Plant extracts of calendula and mallow, soothing and emollient, act on reddened internal mucous membranes with eutrophic and re-epithelializing functions.
Components
Active ingredients: salsobromoiodic thermal water from the Salsomaggiore spa 3.5 g; tea tree essential oil 0.4 g; glycolic extract of calendula 2:1 5 g; glycolic extract of mallow 2:1 0.5 g; glycerol from grapefruit pulp and seeds 0.03 g; excipients: polysorbate 20, sodium methyl p-hydroxy benzoate, imidazolidinyl urea, EDTA disodium salt, lactic acid, purified water. Aqua, propylene glycol, calendula officinalis extract, polysorbate 20, melaleuca alternifolia oil, malva sylvestris extract, citrus grandis juice, glycerin, methylparaben, disodium EDTA, imidazolidinyl urea, lactic acid.
Directions for use
Use 1 or 2 washes a day for 7-12 days as needed and as advised by your doctor.
The excellent compatibility allows for daily and frequent use at all ages and without contraindications. All the components have been carefully selected and tested to avoid sensitization and skin allergies. Use the entire bottle by performing the following operations:
- Hold the bottle by the ring and bend the cap until the safety seal breaks.
- Extract the cannula until it stops so that you hear a click when it is correctly positioned.
- Insert the cannula into the vagina and press the walls of the bottle to allow it to empty completely. It is advisable for the patient to perform irrigation in a lying or semi-sitting position, trying to keep the solution in the vagina for a few minutes.
Warnings
The product should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the components.
Contraindications
The contraindications are the classic ones for spa treatments with salso-bromo-iodine waters, i.e. active tubercular processes, neoplastic processes, decompensated heart disease, uremic nephropathy, or acute febrile processes.
Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Topical products, especially after prolonged treatments, may give rise to irritation or sensitization phenomena. In this case, it is necessary to discontinue treatment and adopt appropriate therapeutic measures.
To be used only for local use. Dermatologically tested, it contains no dyes or perfumes, but only natural essential oils.
