Umbrex 30 is a fast-acting kerato-reducing cream.

Characteristics

Cream with 30% lipostabilized urea. Kerato-reducing treatment for dry and scaly skin layers, localized skin thickening (feet, hands, elbows, nails, knees) or extensive skin thickening (pilary areas, ingrown hairs). Used regularly, it helps keep the skin clean, supple, and hydrated. It is non-greasy and is quickly absorbed by the skin, providing a prompt and long-lasting effect. Its innovative formula also offers a refreshing and soothing action. Urea is an organic compound that, when used topically, can have a hydrating or keratolytic effect depending on the concentration used. The hydrating effect is achieved using low concentrations and is due to an increase in water binding sites in the stratum corneum and a reduction in transepidermal water dispersion. The keratoreducing and keratolytic effect is achieved at higher concentrations (30-50%) and the mechanism appears to be the alteration, through the breaking of hydrogen bonds, of the quaternary structure of the keratins in the stratum corneum. Urea is thus able to denature and disperse keratin and thin the stratum corneum without damaging the skin barrier.

Composition

Contains 30% pure lipostabilized urea.

Directions for use

Apply once or twice a day to clean, dry skin. Massage until completely absorbed. Temporary tingling sensations may occur on more sensitive skin.
