Product Description

Tablets for maintaining the physiological environment of the cervico-vaginal mucosa.

Indications

Laborest Difesan is a disposable CE Medical Device consisting of a single-dose vaginal application system (polyethylene vaginal applicator + tablet) useful as an adjuvant in maintaining the physiological environment of the cervico-vaginal mucosa.
The device contains 7 single-dose vaginal application systems.
Each vaginal application system consists of a polyethylene vaginal applicator and a tablet contained within it.
Difesan is useful as a treatment:

• For the prevention of preterm birth in the presence of reduced cervicometry or cervicometry that does not correspond to the gestational period.
• For the prevention of spontaneous abortion and preterm birth.
• In Prevention against the increased risk of miscarriage associated with invasive procedures such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling.
• In the prevention and treatment of female infertility.

Composition

Lactoferrin (300 mg), lubricating and disintegrating compression agents.

Directions for use and dosage

Carefully remove a vaginal applicator from its packaging.
Insert the applicator deeply into the vagina and release the tablet by gently pressing the plunger.

• As an adjuvant treatment useful for the prevention of preterm birth in the presence of a reduced cervicometry or one that does not correspond to the gestational period:
  It is recommended to use 1 vaginal tablet per day, preferably in the evening before going to bed, for 21 consecutive days. Repeatable, up to the fortieth week, or as otherwise indicated by your doctor.
• As an aid in the prevention of miscarriage and preterm birth:
  It is recommended to use one vaginal tablet per day, preferably in the evening before bed, for 7 consecutive days each month from the beginning of pregnancy until the thirty-seventh week, or as otherwise indicated by your doctor.
• As an aid in the prevention of the increased risk of miscarriage associated with invasive procedures such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling:
  It is recommended to use one vaginal tablet on the day of the examination and continue with subsequent applications every 12 hours until the pack is empty.
• As an aid in the prevention and treatment of female infertility:
  It is recommended to use one vaginal tablet per day, preferably in the evening before bed, for 7 consecutive days in repeatable cycles, or as otherwise indicated by your doctor.

Warnings

The product is for vaginal use.
The tablet, upon dissolving, may cause pale pink discharge, due to the natural salmon-pink color of lactoferrin.
Do not ingest.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity or incompatibility to any component of the product.
May contain lactose.
In case of confirmed or suspected pregnancy and in case of concomitant local drug therapies, the use of the vaginal tablet should only occur on the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
The product is not intended for pediatric use.
Keep the product out of the sight and reach of children.
Prolonged use of the product, as with all topical products, may give rise to sensitization or local irritation. If this occurs, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use the If the packaging is damaged or not perfectly intact when first opened, discontinue use.
Use the product according to the instructions for use.
Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
No side effects related to the use of the product are known or expected.
Tests conducted on the product to date have not revealed any sensitization or other side effects.
If persistent discomfort occurs, consult your doctor.

Pack of 7 vaginal tablets inserted into individually packaged vaginal applicators
