Baobab
It is a tropical tree from the African continent renowned for its many nutritional and pharmacological properties. Centuries-old and immense in size, some specimens reach 5,000 years old. For African peoples, the baobab is food, medicine, and a sacred place, so much so that only the wise can climb its branches. Its name derives from the Arabic bu-hibab, meaning "fruit with many seeds." But it is more commonly called "The Gentle Giant" because products made with its pulp and seeds help rebalance the main functions of the body and the skin, providing well-being and energy. The pulp, extracted from the shell of its fruits, is very rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. An intake of about 5 grams per day is useful for maintaining the body's state of well-being, as it regulates the intestine, blood sugar, and blood cholesterol levels, provides strength, energy, and endurance, balances mood, and relieves menstrual disorders. It is also anti-anemic and antipyretic. From the seeds of the fruit, which represent a significant part of its composition (about 40%), an oil is extracted that is very rich in proteins and vitamins A, D, and E.
