Amaryll Start is the manual breast pump with an ergonomic, rotating lever suitable for right-handed, left-handed mothers and those with small hands. The suction intensity and frequency can be set individually, so you can manually create the stimulation mode and the expression mode.

Use tips

Assembly

Important: Boil the breast pump before using it for the first time (see Cleaning / Sterilization).

1. Assemble the breast pump according to the instructions;
2. The jar membrane firmly encloses the membrane pin groove. Make sure the smooth side of the jar membrane is facing outwards;
3. Rotate the cover to the desired position: Standard position, Left-hand lever position, Right-hand lever position. The mark on the cover must match the mark on the cup. Then rotate the cover clockwise;
4. Attach the lever to the pin of the membrane and fit it into the cover by applying light downward pressure.

Expression

• Wash your hands and sit in a comfortable and relaxed position;
• Tighten the cover firmly to the desired position;
• Center the nipple so as to allow it to move inside the cup/cup insert and proceed to expression using the lever;
• Adjusting the suction force (under vacuum): the suction force is proportional to the pressure exerted on the lever;
• Adjusting the interval: the frequency of expression is proportional to the speed at which the lever is operated;
• Initially, keep a high interval and a low suction force, in order to stimulate the milk flow. Once milk has started to flow, reduce the interval and increase the suction force.

Choosing the Optiflow breast shield and massage insert

• If your nipple rubs uncomfortably on the inside of the breast shield, use a larger breast shield/cup insert.
• If the areola of your nipple is also sucked into the breast shield, use a smaller breast shield. The Optiflow massage insert can be used as a breast shield. To be used exclusively with the 31 mm cup.

Storage of breast milk

Recommended shelf life at room temperature:

• 3-4 hours at 16-29 °C (60-85 °F);
• In the refrigerator: 3 days at ≤4 °C (39 °F);
• In the freezer: 6 months - 1 year at <-17 °C (0 °F).
