Drug based on Paracetamol, Ascorbic Acid and Phenylephrine useful for the short-term treatment of cold and flu symptoms, including mild pain and fever.
Indications
What is Tachifludec used for? This drug is an analgesic, antipyretic, and nasal decongestant used for the symptomatic treatment of colds and flu, and the feverish and painful conditions often associated with them.
In particular, what makes Tachifludec useful for colds and flu are its active ingredients:
- Paracetamol inhibits the production of prostanoids, consequently relieving pain and lowering fever.
- Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) has antioxidant properties and helps the body strengthen its immune defenses.
- Phenylephrine helps decongest the nasal mucosa.
Tachifludec: dosage and how to use
How many times a day can Tachifludec be taken? Adults and children over 12 years of age can take 1 sachet every 4-6 hours and up to a maximum of 3 sachets in 24 hours. Children under 12 years of age cannot take this medicine.
Warning: use only for short-term treatment.
Consult your doctor if the disorder occurs repeatedly or if you have noticed any recent changes in its characteristics.

Tachifludec during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Tachifludec should be used only after consulting your doctor and evaluating the risk/benefit ratio in your case. Consult your doctor if you suspect you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients. Children under 12 years of age. In patients taking beta-blockers, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, and tricyclic antidepressants. In patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease. Paracetamol-based products are contraindicated in patients with manifest glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency and in those with severe hemolytic anemia. Severe hepatocellular insufficiency.
Precautions for use
During treatment with paracetamol, before taking any other medication, check that it does not contain the same active ingredient, as it may cause serious side effects. If paracetamol is taken in high doses, serious adverse reactions may occur, including severe liver disease and changes to the kidneys and blood. Furthermore, before combining any other medication, consult your doctor. Do not administer for more than 3 consecutive days without consulting your doctor. Use of the product is not recommended if the patient is being treated with anti-inflammatory drugs.
Interactions
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have recently taken any other medicines, even those obtained without a prescription. The hepatotoxic effect of paracetamol may be potentiated by the use of other drugs that affect the liver. Patients being treated with rifampicin, cimetidine, or antiepileptic drugs such as glutethimide, phenobarbital, and carbamazepine should use paracetamol with extreme caution and only under strict medical supervision. Paracetamol increases the half-life of chloramphenicol. Paracetamol taken in high doses can enhance the effect of coumarin anticoagulants. Phenylephrine can reduce the effectiveness of beta-blockers and antihypertensives and can enhance the action of monoamine oxidase inhibitors. Paracetamol administration can interfere with the determination of uric acid levels (using the phosphotungstic acid method) and blood glucose levels (using the glucose-oxidase-peroxidase method).
Side effects
Like all medicines, Tachifludec can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Skin reactions of various types and severity have been reported with the use of paracetamol, including cases of erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and epidermal necrolysis. Hypersensitivity reactions such as angioedema, laryngeal edema, and anaphylactic shock have been reported. The following side effects have also been reported: thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, anemia, agranulocytosis, liver function abnormalities and hepatitis, renal disorders (acute renal failure, interstitial nephritis, hematuria, anuria), gastrointestinal reactions, and dizziness. Sympathomimetics (phenylephrine) may occasionally cause skin irritation, tachycardia, hypertension, and, much more rarely, nausea, vomiting, or anorexia. Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
