Product Description

Angelini Tachifludec: for colds and flu, lemon-honey flavor

Tachifludec is used in the symptomatic treatment of flu, colds and related feverish and painful conditions, with a decongestant action on the upper airways.

Dosage and Directions for Use

Tachifludec is administered according to the following doses:

• Adults and children over 12 years: 1 sachet every 4-6 hours and up to a maximum of 3 sachets in 24 hours.

Dissolve 1 sachet in half a glass of very hot water and, if desired, dilute with cold water to cool and sweeten as desired. The product should not be administered to children under 12 years of age unless under medical supervision.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the components or other closely related substances from a chemical point of view.
• Patients taking beta-blockers, monoamine oxidase inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants.
• Patients suffering from hepatic or renal insufficiency, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.
• Patients suffering from hepatic or renal insufficiency, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.
• Paracetamol-based products are contraindicated in patients with manifest glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase insufficiency and in those suffering from severe hemolytic anemia.
• Severe hepatocellular insufficiency.

Special warnings

During treatment with paracetamol, before taking any other medicine, check that it does not contain the same active ingredient. Since paracetamol may cause serious adverse reactions if taken in high doses, advise the patient to contact their doctor before combining any other medication.
Use of the product is not recommended if the patient is being treated with anti-inflammatory drugs.

Due to the presence of sodium, the product should be used with caution in patients on a low-sodium diet. Due to the presence of sucrose (3725 mg per sachet in the lemon-flavored Tachifludec pack and 3802 mg per sachet in the honey-lemon-flavored Tachifludec pack), the product should be used with caution in patients with hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, or in cases of sucrase-isomaltase deficiency.
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Use during pregnancy is not contraindicated but requires caution. Administration of the preparation during pregnancy and breastfeeding must take place under the direct supervision of a doctor and in case of actual need.

Expiry and storage

Check the expiry date indicated on the package. The expiry date indicated on the package refers to the product in its intact packaging, stored correctly.

Warning: do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the package.

Composition

Tachifludec contains:
Active ingredient: paracetamol 600 mg, ascorbic acid 40 mg and phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg equivalent to phenylephrine 8.2 mg.
Excipients: sucrose, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, corn starch, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, lemon flavouring, honey flavouring, caramel (E 150), anhydrous colloidal silica.
