Product Description

Topical drug for the treatment of hemorrhoids and anal fissures.

Indications

Ruscoroid rectal cream is a drug indicated for treating the symptoms associated with hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and proctitis. In particular, this topical anti-hemorrhoidal product has a vasoprotective and anesthetic action, acting on:

• itching;
• pain;
• sensation of heaviness.

Composition

Active ingredients:

• 1 g of Ruscogenins, which have anti-inflammatory, decongestant and vasoprotective properties.
• 1 g of Tetracaine hydrochloride, which has a local anesthetic action.

Excipients:

Cetyl alcohol, polysorbate 80, Macrogol 400, Macrogol 4000, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate, propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, Rosemary 7144 perfume, purified water.

Dosage

For adults, Ruscoroid ointment should be applied 1–2 times a day directly to the affected area with the help of the hands or using the special applicator found inside the package and screwed onto the tube. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Contraindications

Use is not recommended for individuals who have already shown hypersensitivity to the product components or to other substances chemically related to them.

Warnings

How long should Ruscoroid be used for? Do not use for long periods as sensitization to the components may occur. If symptoms persist after a short period of treatment, it is advisable to discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age unless under direct medical supervision.
During pregnancy, Ruscoroid should be used only if recommended by your doctor.

Interactions

There are no reported interactions between the use of Ruscoroid and other substances, but it is advisable to consult your doctor before starting administration if you are taking other types of medications at the same time.

Storage

Ruscoroid rectal cream should be stored in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

Side effects

Rare cases of sensitization, such as local and generalized erythema associated with itching.
