Product Description

Drug for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as muscle or joint pain, and in case of fever.

Indications

Momendol is a drug that belongs to the class of NSAIDs (nonsteroidal analgesics, anti-inflammatories and antirheumatics), which fight pain, inflammation and fever, but also as a treatment for rheumatic diseases and as an adjuvant to orthopedic and rehabilitation therapies.

In particular, the use of Momendol tablets is indicated for mild to moderate pain, such as:

• muscle and joint pain;
• headache, migraine, headache, menstrual pain, back pain and stiff neck;
• treatment of fever;
• rheumatic pain;
• Pathologies such as chickenpox, mumps, thyroiditis, herpes zoster.

Composition

• Momendol active ingredient: naproxen sodium 220 mg.

• Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, Corn starch, Microcrystalline cellulose, Povidone (K25), Sodium starch glycolate, Colloidal anhydrous silica, Magnesium stearate.

Dosage and method of use

Adults and adolescents over 16 years of age should take Momendol Tablets in a dose of 1 film-coated tablet every 8-12 hours.

In case of severe pain, a better effect Momendol can be achieved by taking 2 tablets on the first day, followed by 1 tablet after 8-12 hours. Do not exceed 3 tablets in 24 hours. In any case, treatment with Momendol should not last more than a week in case of pain, or for more than three days in case of fever.

If you forget to take a dose of Momendol, you should not compensate by taking two tablets together.

Elderly patients and patients with mild or moderate renal insufficiency should not exceed 2 tablets in 24 hours. Children and adolescents under 16 years of age should not take Momendol.

Warnings

Take the medicine on a full stomach. Consult your doctor if, after treatment, the pain does not reduce or the fever does not go down.

It is not recommended to take Momendol in conjunction with other anti-inflammatory drugs or corticosteroids, as this combination may cause gastrointestinal bleeding, or with anticoagulant drugs, as it may enhance their effect. Do not take the drug if you regularly drink alcohol, as this could lead to gastric bleeding. Do not take in case of lactose intolerance or allergy, because the medicine contains this substance.

Furthermore, the following should not take Momendol:

• subjects allergic or hypersensitive to naproxen sodium salt or any other excipient contained in the medicine;
• those who have had episodes of gastrointestinal bleeding and recurrent peptic ulcer;
• those suffering from chronic inflammatory intestinal diseases;
• those who have severe liver failure;
• those who have severe heart failure;
• those who suffer from asthma;
• those who have severe kidney failure.

The drug must then be stopped immediately if skin rashes, mucosal lesions or other signs indicating hypersensitivity to the active ingredient appear. Momendol. Therapy should also be suspended if vision problems occur (although this is a rather rare occurrence).

Momendol during pregnancy

Do not take Momendol during pregnancy, as the active ingredient in this drug prevents the formation of prostaglandins, producing negative effects on fetal development.

As a precaution, it is best to abstain from taking this drug even if you are breastfeeding, as the active ingredient can be secreted into breast milk.
