Lacricomplex is a lubricating, protective, hydrating, soothing and antioxidant ophthalmic solution containing GlicoPro, a multimolecular complex based on proteins, sulfurized and non-sulfurized glycosaminoglycans carried by a mucin base consisting of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC).
Indications
Glycosaminoglycans, in particular, constitute an important part of the glycocalyx of the cell surface, and can represent ligands for many molecules such as growth factors, cytokines, chemokines that modulate the inflammatory response.
Lacricomplex therefore contains a triple mucin component together with a mucoprotein component and a protein component with lubricating, hydrating, antioxidant, and protective action, which is useful in the treatment of dry eyes, also as an adjuvant in the presence of irritation and inflammation caused by environmental conditions or mechanical stress.
Lacricomplex also promotes physiological repair processes at the corneal level and supports the restoration of the functionality of the corneal nerve endings, which decreases in the case of dry eye syndrome.
The ophthalmic solution is contained in a technologically advanced bottle that avoids the use of preservatives and allows for easy dispensing of the entire volume of liquid.
Lacricomplex, thanks to the lubricating, protective, hydrating, soothing, and antioxidant action of its components, allows for the treatment of dry eye symptoms, also as an adjuvant in the presence of irritation and inflammation caused by environmental conditions or mechanical stress.
Furthermore, Lacricomplex is useful in promoting the physiological processes of corneal repair and supports the restoration of corneal nerve endings, altered during dry eye.
Composition
GlicoPro 10%, HPMC 0.2%, boric acid 0.25%, sodium tetraborate 0.03%, sodium chloride 0.81%, purified water to 100 ml.
Directions for use and Dosage
Instill one or two drops in each eye 3-4 times a day or as directed by your doctor.
The product can be used for both adults and children. Cannot be used with contact lenses.
Warnings
Wash your hands thoroughly before using the product.
Do not use in case of known allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the product's components.
Do not touch the ocular surface with the dropper tip.
Reseal the bottle tightly after use.
Do not use the product after the expiry date.
Administer the product at least 5 minutes before or after administering other topical ophthalmic products.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use the product if the package appears damaged.
In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use and contact a specialist.
Do not ingest.
Storage
Store the product at a temperature between 5°C and 25°C °C.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 20 months.
Shelf life after opening: 28 days.
