Indications

Foille insetti is indicated for insect bites, itching, rashes and eczema.

Ingredients and composition

Active ingredients

100 g of cream contain: Active ingredient: Hydrocortisone 0.5 g Excipients: cetyl alcohol. For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1.

Excipients

Isopropanol, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, lanolin, PEG 1000 monostearate, PEG 4000 monostearate, PEG 6000 monostearate, bitter almond flavoring, and purified water.

Dosage

Rub the cream lightly into the affected area in a thin layer, twice a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Warnings

FOILLE INSETTI is for external use only. Do not apply to mucous membranes. Avoid contact with eyes. In children under 2 years of age, FOILLE INSETTI should be used only after consulting your doctor and evaluating the risk/benefit ratio in your case. It is good practice to avoid prolonged use of FOILLE INSETTI, especially on large surfaces. Use of topical products, especially if prolonged, may cause irritation or sensitization. In this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to initiate appropriate therapy. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue treatment. After a short period of treatment without noticeable results, consult your doctor. Cetyl alcohol, present as an excipient in Foille Insetti, may cause local skin reactions (such as contact dermatitis).

Side effects

As with all topical preparations, local sensitization reactions may occur. In general, topical application of corticosteroids does not cause clinical evidence of systemic absorption. When applied to large areas, or for prolonged periods of time, or to damaged skin, or under occlusive dressings, hydrocortisone may be absorbed in quantities sufficient to cause systemic effects.
