Bayer Canesten 1% Skin Powder Antifungal For Fungi

Canesten Skin Powder is used in the topical treatment of moist mycoses of the skin and skin folds, especially if localized in covered or poorly ventilated areas (for example: tinea pedis or athlete's foot, tinea cruris, tinea inguinalis).

Dosage and Directions for Use

Canesten Skin Powder taken in the following doses and methods: it should be applied 2-3 times a day, after thoroughly washing and drying the affected area. In case of athlete's foot, it is recommended to also sprinkle Canesten powder on the inside of socks and shoes.

Generally, a continuous treatment period of three to four weeks is sufficient for the symptoms to disappear. In order to consolidate the therapeutic results obtained and avoid reinfections, it is advisable to continue therapy with Canesten for at least two weeks after the symptoms have disappeared.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients.

Special warnings

Avoid contact with eyes. Do not ingest. The use, especially if prolonged, of topical products may give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case, it is necessary to discontinue treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

In diaper rash, the use of occlusive diapers after applying the drug is not recommended. In case of recurrence, consult your doctor. After three to four weeks of continuous use without appreciable results, consult your doctor.

Check the expiry date indicated on the package. The expiry date indicated on the package refers to the product in an intact package, stored correctly. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Do not use Canesten 1% cream after 3 months from first opening.

Warning: Do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the package.
