Betadine ® is an antiseptic gel for the treatment of small wounds and skin infections. The active ingredient in Betadine ®, Povidone-Iodine (10% Iodine), is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fungi, protozoa, yeasts, and some viruses. Povidone-Iodine has the advantage, compared to elemental Iodine, of being water-soluble and less irritating and well-tolerated by the skin and mucous membranes. It is recommended to apply a light layer of gel twice a day directly to the affected area and to avoid the simultaneous use of other antiseptics and cleansers. Do not use soaps or ointments containing mercury or benzoin compounds on the treated area at the same time. Convenient as a gel, Betadine® can even be carried in your suitcase.

Important: Betadine® 10% gel 30g provides medicated protection for deep wounds and prevents any bandages from adhering to the wound itself.
