Accu-Chek Aviva is the test strip for self-monitoring blood glucose levels, designed for use with the Accu-Chek meter. Robust and easy to handle, it features a large Y-shaped suction area, called Y-Easy Fill, which allows for simple and safe application of a blood sample with a minimal amount of just 0.6 microliters, both with the traditional method and the AST method (fingertip blood sampling). Inside the strip are 8 gold electrodes that perform over 150 automatic quality checks to ensure accurate results. They are able to verify the integrity of the strip and reagents based on external humidity and temperature, any damage to the strip, and the amount of blood deposited, with an error signal in the event of insufficient blood and the possibility of redosing within 5 seconds. Each pack of strips contains a Smart Code for coding, which contains all the information relating to the characteristics of the strips being used. The strip bottle makes opening and closing easy thanks to a snap-on cap attached to the bottle itself. Furthermore, the desiccant is evenly distributed along the walls, ensuring better preservation of the strips.
