Characteristics

Food for special medical purposes indicated for the dietary management of Chronic Kidney Failure (CRF). Indicated for the dietary management of Phenylketonuria. Indicated for the dietary management of Parkinson's disease (under levodopa therapy). The product, due to its composition, is suitable for all three categories of patients. In particular: the product has been specifically formulated with ingredients with a reduced protein, sodium, phosphorus, and potassium content to meet the nutritional needs of patients with Chronic Kidney Failure; the product's composition also contains a reduced phenylalanine content for the dietary management of subjects with Phenylketonuria. Furthermore, thanks to its limited protein content, the product is also suitable for the dietary management of patients with Parkinson's disease treated with levodopa, as it does not interfere with the absorption of this amino acid. Patients treated with levodopa must be assessed for the degree of dysphagia and any malnutrition problems that may arise under protein restriction.

Ingredients

Corn starch, rice starch, high oleic sunflower oil, vegetable fiber (chicory inulin); thickener: guar gum; emulsifier: sunflower lecithin; thickener: xanthan gum; extra virgin olive oil, dextrose, salt.
