Castor oil is a very dense vegetable oil. It can rebalance the amount of grease in the hair (which is lost especially in the shaft and ends), preventing their weakening and, above all, avoiding the formation of split ends. Furthermore, it gives volume and strength to the eyelashes, like a true beauty balm. This is due to the fact that it has a good affinity for keratin, the main constituent of hair, hair, and nails, which is why it is widely used in natural cosmetics, mainly as a nourishing agent. Distributed on the skin, in fact, it forms a film that significantly reduces the evaporation of skin water and therefore dehydration. For internal use, it is the most effective and effective oil. Stronger than oil-based laxatives, with an unpleasant odor and taste and a rather drastic action. Castor oil is generally taken on an empty stomach, mixed with essential oils or orange juice to mitigate its unpleasant taste, and produces a marked laxative effect within 2-6 hours. In the stomach, in fact, it acts like any other fat, delaying gastric emptying; hence the recommendation to take it between meals. Castor oil is used to clear the intestines before surgery, radiological procedures, although its best-known field of application is related to the complete evacuation of the colon before childbirth.
Directions for use
As a laxative: for adults, take 15-60 ml per day; For children, take 5-15 ml per day.
For hair: pre-shampoo packs consist of beauty masks to be applied to the hair, for a processing time that can vary from 10 minutes to an hour so that the hair absorbs all the nutrients and is also protected from the aggressive action of the shampoo.
For eyelashes: apply a small amount of product to a cotton pad and pass over the eyelashes.
