The Prontex Ear Therm offers a wide measurement range, from 0°C to 100.0°C, making it versatile for different needs. The intuitive and easy-to-read multicolor display changes color to immediately indicate the presence of a fever (red for temperatures equal to or greater than 37.5°C).

The thermometer is equipped with distinctive beeps to indicate when it's turned on, the end of the measurement, any errors, and, in particular, an audible alarm in the event of fever, for greater peace of mind.

Instructions for use

For effective and accurate ear measurement with Prontex Ear Therm, carefully follow these steps:

• Turn on the device by pressing the dedicated button; the display will light up for about 2 seconds, showing the last temperature taken with the M icon.
• Wait for the °C (or °F) symbol to flash and a short beep to indicate that the thermometer is ready for use.
• Gently straighten the ear canal: for adults, pull the ear up and back; For children under one year of age, pull the ear back very gently. The goal is to have a clear view of the eardrum.
• Keeping the ear in place, gently insert the sensor into the ear canal and press the start measurement button.
• At the end of the measurement, a beep will confirm that the temperature has been recorded. If the measured temperature is 37.5°C (99.5°F) or higher, the thermometer will emit 10 short beeps as a fever alarm.
• Remove the thermometer from the ear canal and read the temperature displayed on the screen.
• To ensure maximum accuracy, we recommend waiting at least 30 seconds after the third consecutive measurement before taking further readings.
